Molly Finds | 4.8.20 | Engagement Gifts

April 8, 2020

Good morning, friends!

I was recently asked to create a ‘molly finds’ post for engagement gifts. I had so much fun picking out the items in this post. Some of them are things from my own wedding registry from a *few* years ago. Some are heirloom pieces that the couple can use at their wedding and then pass onto their future children. Some are cozy home items, some are practical kitchen items, but all of them will stand the test of time and can be used for years to come.

One tid-bit I have if you’re a new bride beginning to register for wedding gifts: Register for classic items that you’ll want to use year after year. Skip the inexpensive dishes from Target and and go for something of better quality. Don’t feel bad about registering for an elegant set of china, a kitchenaid mixer, classic stemwear, etc. Your guests want to give you a nice gift that you intend to hold onto, so skip the $40 toaster that might break in a few years, or the 10 piece tupperwear set that you’re going to lose half of the lids to anyway. Each time I use one of our wedding gifts (which is multiple times a day), I remember the sweet friends and family who gifted it, and thinking of them makes me smile. You don’t want to throw away the plastic measuring cups that Karen gifted you because you accidentally melted them in the dishwasher, right? Right. Register for quality items. Rant over. Molly finds begins. 🙂

As a wedding planner, I know that brides and grooms are having a tough time right now. Engagements are meant to be celebrated and so many plans are being postponed, or halted. So, let’s show them some extra love!

xx, mb
